A couple of earthquakes were recorded at the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast, Saturday, Sept. 13. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.9-magnitude quake was located on the outer fault line, west of Petrolia, CA, and a 2.8-magnitude was located west of Ferndale, CA, both near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. On Sunday, Sept. 14, a 2.9-magnitude quake was recorded west of Port Orford, near the outer fault line, and a 3.0-magnitude was recorded at the southern junction, west of Ferndale, CA.
