A 4.2-magnitude earthquake was recorded off the South Oregon Coast early Wednesday morning, Nov. 12. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west to northwest of Coos Bay’s Barview, near the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast, and at a depth of six-miles. A second quake, 3.1-magnitude, was recorded Tuesday, Nov. 11, on the outer fault, also at a depth of six-miles.
