Description
A couple of seismic events were recorded on Saturday, Aug. 22. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.6-magnitude earthquake was located west to southwest of Pistol River, in Curry Co. and between the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. There was also a 1.7-magnitude west to southwest of Petrolia, CA, at the southern end of the two fault lines, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. On Sunday, Aug. 23, a 2.7-magnitude quake was recorded off of Coos Co., west of Bandon, on the outer fault line.
