Description

A 3.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded at the southern junction of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast, Friday, June 20.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west to northwest of Petrolia, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.

Later in the meeting, during the Council Comments agenda item, Councilor Cribbins reflected on the proclamation, stating:

And it's a welcoming sentiment to say there is room at the table for everyone… We are a great country, and we do have room—a seat at the table—for everyone." Mayor Joe Benetti officially signed the proclamation, encouraging all Coos Bay residents to recommit to the ongoing work of equity, equality, and justice in celebration of freedom and unity.
