24 puppies gathered at the Portland International Airport on Saturday, April 26th, to practice going through TSA.Tulip poses for a photo at the Portland International Airport on Saturday, April 26th, 2025.The dogs in training practiced going through TSA in case their future owner ever needs to take them to travel.Guide Dogs for the Blind is the biggest organization of its kind in the nation.Guide Dogs for the Blind is a volunteer-based organization that trains puppies to be able to guide those with visually impairments.After the first stage of training, the puppies go into a 3 month long more formal program at the organization's campus in Boring, Oregon.On Saturday, this group of puppies practiced going through TSA at the airport.Tulip sits patiently before going through the security scanner on Saturday, April 26th, 2025.On Saturday, this group of puppies practiced going through TSA at the airport.Part of the practice on Saturday morning was for the dogs to become familiar with a pet relief station.Puppy Raisers are the volunteers who train the puppies from ages 8 weeks-14 months.Puppies in the beginning stage of training range from 8 weeks-14 months old.Puppy Raisers with Guide Dogs for the Blind socialize after their TSA exercise.

On Saturday morning, an unusual event drew a lot of attention at Portland International Airport as 24 puppies, guide dogs in training, paraded through TSA security check.
