Rowan Kimsey was an artist who worked in tattooing and traditional mediums — and taught her skills to many other aspiring artists in the Pacific Northwest. She was among the victims in a quintuple homicide in rural Washington County last weekend.

A woman who lost three family members in Saturday’s mass killing in rural Washington County — including her sibling, mother and grandmother — said that her family is choosing to remember those who died for their love of nature and art, even as they try to process their deaths.
