Barview, OR - On Friday, September 4, 2026, at 3:53 p.m., a Coos County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was near the intersection of Libby Lane and Crown Point Road when he observed a purple and pink golf cart traveling westbound on Libby Lane.  
  
A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Rennie Strebendt (72). Rennie stated she was on her way to Charleston; however, the North Coos Dispatch Center advised Rennie had a valid warrant for her arrest out of Florence, Oregon.  
  
Rennie Strebendt (72) was transported to the Coos County Jail on the outstanding warrant.  
  
“Police action is not indicative of guilt.  All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
