North Bend, OR - On August 5th 2026, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report that an employee had unlawfully used company credit cards belonging to a local business on Ranch Lane, just north of North Bend.    
   
The individual reporting the crime stated that Brandie A. Hughson (53) had been their Office Manager and had fraudulently charged a large amount of money on the business credit cards, and they had just recently located the transactions.   
   
During the investigation, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office met with the business owners, Brandie, and several other witnesses.  
   
As a result of the investigation, on September 8th 2026, a deputy responded to Brandie A. Hughson’s (53) residence and placed her under arrest for Aggravated Theft in 1st Degree (Embezzlement) and Unlawful Use of a Credit Card. Brandie A. Hughson was transported to the Coos County Jail.  
   
“Police action is not indicative of guilt.  All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
