***Press Release*** Case #: S2026-01174 Coos Bay, OR - On July 29th 2026, during day shift, Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in progress in the 91000 Block of Spaw Lane, Coos Bay, Oregon 97420. During an investigation, James P. Brogan (64) was contacted. As a result of the investigation, Mr. Brogan was arrested on the charge of Harassment Domestic. As a result of the arrest and Mr. Brogan’s actions during it, he was charged additionally with Assault of a Public Safety Officer and Resisting Arrest. James P. Brogan (64) was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody. “Police action is not indicative of guilt. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
