Description
A prescribed burn in the Deschutes National Forest has turned into a wildfire, the U.S. Forest Service said Thursday.
The Pine Mountain fire is about 14 miles southeast of Bend and was declared a wildfire at 4 p.m. Thursday. Prescribed burns were conducted Tuesday and Wednesday, but were canceled for Thursday after conditions turned unfavorable.
