Sixteen volleyball teams from around the State are arriving in the Bay Area today to participate in Friday & Saturday’s OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union State 3A/4A Volleyball Tournaments at Marshfield (3A) and North Bend (4A). Tournament organizers are treating the coaches to a seafood dinner, while the players enjoy a hamburger BBQ, both at NBHS tonight. The dinner will be followed by a team event in the gymnasium. Quarter-final games get underway Friday morning, Nov. 8th, at 9 a.m., in both gyms.

Prep soccer playoffs for the girls Wednesday, Nov. 6th: 4A – No. 1 seed Marist Catholic beat visiting Newport, 3-1 at Eugene. North Bend fell at No. 2 seed La Grande, 2-0. 3A/2A/1A - Brookings-Harbor lost at home to Blanchet Catholic (Salem) 2-1.
