North Bend’s girls are tied for eighth-place in this week’s OSAA/Coach’s 4A Girls’ Basketball Poll. Stayton (11-3) is No. 1, Seaside (12-3) No. 3, Marist Catholic (10-4) No. 6 and previous top-ten teams Tillamook (9-6) and Cottage Grove (10-6) have dropped out. The OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 3A Boys’ & Girls’ State Basketball Championships will again be held in the Bay Area, March 5-7. Vale (17-1) leads the girl’s poll, followed by Amity (16-2), Banks (11-4), Pleasant Hill (14-3), and Sisters at No. 5 (14-4). Taft (14-5) is No. 9 and Coquille (11-4) No. 10. Regis (17-1), of Stayton, tops the 2A Poll. Bandon (16-2) is No. 4. Nestucca (14-2) No. 7 and Knappa (8-9) No. 9. Springfield (15-1) tops the 5A Poll and Tualatin (14-1) is No. 1 in the 6A Poll.
