Ready or not, here comes the start of the 2025 Fall Prep Sports Season.  Practices officially began on August 18th and the OSAA now allows its members to start playing contests this weekend.  In football, both North Bend and Marshfield open Friday night on the road.  The Pirates will travel to Southern Oregon to face Crater at Central Point, while the Bulldogs head up the Coast to take on Astoria.  Volleyball starts with Jamborees, and Marshfield will host most area teams Thursday at the Pirate Palace, Coos Bay.  Meet the Bulldog Night is set for Tuesday, August 26th and followed by Marshfield’s Inspire Night on Wednesday, August 27th.
