Marshfield is No. 7 (11-7) in this week’s OSAA/Coaches 4A Prep Basketball Poll. Philomath (14-3) sits on top of the poll, with Stayton (17-1) second and Cascade (12-4) third. All three out of the Oregon West Conference. Marist Catholic (11-5) is No. 7. The 3A OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union State Basketball Championships are set for March 6-8 in the Bay Area. Amity (19-0) is top-ranked, followed by Banks (17-3), Vale (18-1), Coquille ((16-1) is No. 4 and Cascade Christian (14-4) is No. 5. Myrtle Pt. (15-4) is No. 10 in the 2A Poll.

Marshfield’s boys are No. 3 in this week’s OSAA/Coaches 4A Basketball Poll. The Pirates (16-2) trail top-ranked Cascade (13-3) and defending state champion Baker (11-8) at No. 2. Newport (12-5) is No. 6 this week. Marist Catholic (12-4) is No. 4. The OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 3A State Tournament will be held in the Bay Area March 6-8. Westside Christian (18-0) is top-ranked, followed by Pleasant Hill (18-3), Valley Catholic (13-6), Taft (17-3), and Cascade Christian (13-4) at No. 5.
