Description

Students line up to re-enter the building after a recess period at Sabin Elementary School in Portland. School will end earlier than expected this spring after teachers agreed to support a proposal for four furlough days to help plug a $14 million budget shortfall.

The last day of school for Portland Public Schools students will be Friday, June 5, after their teachers voted in favor of a plan to take four furlough days in order to help plug a $14 million midyear budget shortfall.
