Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center employees recently wore pink for a photo to be sent to SCHHC Clinic Manager Dawn Gray, who recently underwent surgery for breast cancer.

The clinic staff has been sending group photos to Dawn each week as she was undergoing treatment to show their care and support.

Happily, for this photo, Dawn was back and is pictured fourth from right!

•••Coos County Man Arrested on Felony Warrant During Routine Patrol••• On May 15th, 2024, around 1:30 pm, Deputy H. Francis was on routine patrol in Charleston when she observed a male, Norman Kohl (61), in the Seaport RV Park. Deputy Francis believed that Mr. Kohl had an active warrant for his arrest. Coos County Dispatch confirmed that Mr. Kohl had an active Felony warrant for his arrest, specifically for Theft in the First Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, and Criminal Trespass. Mr. Kohl was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Coos County Jal, where he was booked, processed, and lodged. “Police action is not indicative of guilt. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
