Description

The dead of winter is a busy time for Portland’s dance scene. As 2025 kicks off, dance presenters White Bird offers a quartet of shows, including the return of the pioneering modern dance troupe the Martha Graham Dance Company, and the audience favorite drag dance company Les Ballets Trockadero De Monte Carlo.

The ballet world offers a pair of classics: Grand Kyiv Ballet brings its adaptation of “Swan Lake” to the intimate Reser Center in Beaverton, and Oregon Ballet Theatre offers a world premiere with its new production of “Giselle.” Both explore matters of the heart, including hope, heartbreak and redemption.
