Portland's Unless Collective makes plastic-free apparel and footwear. It hopes to make a splash at SXSW, including with a jacket that it's giving to filmmakers who premier work at the festival.

Portland’s Eric Liedtke flew to Austin, Texas, on Thursday night with hopes of sparking a conversation that will ripple through the plastic-addled sportswear industry.
