The Ukrainian Community Choir performed a couple songs in the afternoon. The ensemble dressed in traditional vyshyvanka dresses and sang in Ukrainian.One vendor sold homemade Ukrainian dishes pastries.This year's festivities took place at Westmoreland Park in Southeast Portland on Saturday, August 22.Portland's annual Ukrainian Day was started by The Ukrainian Foundation in 2006. It honors the day Ukraine left the Soviet Union in 1991.
