Portland’s I-5 closure will upend commutes for weeks. Here’s how employers are preparing

About 120,000 vehicles travel through this 2-mile stretch of I-5 at the Rose Quarter each day, including nearly 12,000 trucks hauling more than $100 million worth of goods, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

For five weeks this fall, Portland-area commuters are being told to rethink how they get to work.
