Elevations above about 500 feet are more likely to see traces of sticking snow through about Thursday morning. Others will see a rain/snow mix. Oregonian file photo.

Chances of sticking snow on the valley floor (or below 500 feet) are beginning to fade as area forecasters see the probability of 1-2 inches of snow occurring anywhere below 1,000 feet in northwest Oregon dropping to a 5-10% chance.
