A car drove onto the Blumenauer pedestrian bridge Monday morning, causing damage and closing the route during the morning commute.

The Blumenauer Bridge, which crosses Interstate 84 in Portland’s Central Eastside, was closed during the morning commute Monday after a car drove onto the bridge, which is designed for bikes and pedestrians only.
