Description

Reginald Freeman, a former Oakland fire chief now working in Saudi Arabia, and Lauren Johnson, an assistant fire chief in Dallas, are finalists to become Portland's next fire chief.

Portland’s pursuit of a new fire chief is down to a pair of candidates whose resumes suggest they would bring markedly different backgrounds into leading the critical public safety agency, The Oregonian/OregonLive has learned.
