Bob Day was sworn in as Portland’s 51st police chief at Portland City Hall on Oct. 11, 2023. He was reappointed to the job under a new mayor Wednesday.

Portland police Chief Bob Day will lead the city’s force for three more years, following a unanimous vote by the Portland City Council on Wednesday night.
