Description

Students at Boise-Eliot-Humboldt K-5 work together during the school's recent literacy night. A recent poll conducted for Portland Public Schools suggests that voters were willing to maintain — but not raise — a property tax levy on behalf of the district.

In January, Portland Public Schools floated the idea of asking voters to increase the local property tax that pays for around 700 teachers, polling 400 voters to gauge their willingness.
