A packed house at Harriet Tubman Middle School for a forum on enrollment changes for Jefferson High School. At front is Margaret Calvert, an assistant superintendent at Portland Public Schools and former principal of Jefferson, who has been leading engagement sessions around North and Northeast Portland on the proposed changes.

When it came time for Zah’Ryiah Allen to decide where she wanted to go to high school, the answer was a no-brainer.
