Sonia Schmanski took the helm of Portland Parks & Recreation last July following the ouster of longtime Director Adena Long amid mounting political and fiscal challenges at the agency.

Sonia Schmanski, a veteran Portland government official who currently serves as the Parks Bureau’s interim director, will depart City Hall at the end of the month.
