Description

Christopher Daniel McGinnis, 34, pleaded guilty to a months-long spree of breaking into residential buildings to steal bicycles and other items. The photo is taken from a surveillance video shared by the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.

A prolific Portland bike thief was sentenced Friday to more than four years in prison after pleading guilty to breaking into apartment building storage centers to steal bikes.

With additional Super Plunge fundraising efforts, Hillsboro Police raised nearly $9,000 in total. Funds raised help ensure athletes can train and compete year-round at no cost to them or their families. Our support goes beyond one event. Throughout the year, our officers volunteer, hand out medals, participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run, and cheer on athletes across Oregon.
