Portland police officer Corey Budworth's apology video to a protester he struck in the face with a baton in 2020 resulted in a judge dismissing his fourth-degree assault charge on Friday, July 7, 2023.

A state police certification committee on Thursday ruled a Portland police officer did not violate moral fitness standards when he hit a protester in the head with a baton in 2020 and can keep his Portland police badge.
