Portland Police Officer Bradley Jett says he fell down the stairs of this Southeast Portland home in March 2025, pictured here in a Google Maps image about six months earlier. As part of an exterior remodel that dramatically changed the look of the home, railings were installed on the staircase weeks after Jett's fall.

A longtime Portland police officer filed a $2 million lawsuit this week against a woman after the officer fell down the front steps of her home while performing a welfare check on her.
