Nearly 2,000 pounds of ready-to-eat holiday kielbasa sausages have been recalled due to possible metal contamination.

On Friday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the recall of uncured holiday kielbasa produced by Olympia Provisions, a Portland-based company that specializes in handcrafted meats and charcuterie.

The agency said the issue was identified after the company notified officials of a consumer complaint reporting metal found in the product. No confirmed injuries related to consumption of the sausages have been reported.

The recalled products are 16-ounce, vacuum-sealed packages that were shipped to stores in Oregon, Washington and California, and were also sold nationwide through online orders. They were produced on Oct. 14, carry a “best if used by” date of Feb. 19, 2026, and include establishment number 39928.

Officials are urging consumers not to eat the sausages and to either discard them or return them to the store where they were purchased.
