Description

The annual Tualatin Valley Fire Camp teaches vehicle extrication, ladder skills, and search and rescue to participants ages 16-22, with instruction from professional female firefighters. In 2026, the camp was held from June 26-28 at TVFR's Sherwood training campus.

Simra Ahsan wasn’t sure she could do it. Her fear of heights made each run of the ladder a challenge. But then she looked down, and her fear was replaced with strength.
