A pilot was killed and two Pennsylvania State Police troopers were injured Wednesday evening after a small airplane collided with a state police helicopter near Carlisle Regional Airport, prompting a federal investigation into one of the region’s most serious aviation accidents in recent years, The Associated Press reported.
