QTS data center buildings in Hillsboro, Oregon, seen from the air on March 27, 2023. QTS is in PGE’s service territory and will be subject to the 30% electricity rate hike for data centers approved by the Oregon Public Utility Commission.

The Oregon Public Utility Commission on Tuesday approved Portland General Electric’s plan to raise rates for data centers by nearly 30%, leaving the proposal little changed after a month-long review.
