Pentagon awards $1.85 billion in health care contracts covering about 175,000 beneficiaries for one year.

The Defense Health Agency on Sept. 30 awarded one-year contract extensions worth $1.85 billion to six healthcare companies, for comprehensive health care services through the Uniformed Services Family Health Plan, a managed care plan.
