The Pentagon announced Sept. 14, 2026, that it is investing $450 million in a company that manufactures tungsten, a critical metal found in missiles, submarines and fighter jets.

Tungsten and molybdenum are important components of defense systems such as missiles, submarines and jets and are critical to over 100 Department of Defense programs.
