Is it the water?  Or, maybe its just management, but while one established brewery on the Oregon Coast settles into dust on Newport’s Yaquina Bay, another brewery is expanding.  Pelican Brewing, which began in Pacific City, has opened its sixth location at the “Gem of the Oregon Coast,” Yachats.  The award-winning brewery, which began in 1996, fills a void in Lincoln Co. when Rogue Ale closed its doors last year.  Pelican Brewing has locations in not only Pacific City, but also at Rockaway Beach, Tillamook, Siletz Bay and Cannon Beach
