✅ Memorable Sights & Trails
✔️ Samuel H. Boardman State Park:
18 ocean-hugging miles of Samuel H Boardman State Scenic Corridor, located between Brookings and Gold Beach along Highway 101. You can hike 18 miles or just 2 miles.
✔️ Cape Ferrelo Viewpoint:
A mile-long hike leads to breathtaking views of the rugged coastline and photo-worthy Oregon sunsets. The Cape is also an excellent spot for whale watching.
✔️ House Rock Viewpoint:
A 4-mile trail between Cape Ferrelo and House Rock offers many side trails to secluded beaches.
✔️ Natural Bridge:
Follow a short trail to one of the best viewpoints in the park — the 7 iconic arch rocks and blowholes known as Natural Bridges.
✔️ Oregon's Mighty Redwoods
Majestic Redwoods can be found along the Winchuk and Chetco Rivers. Alfred A. Loeb State Park and the River-Siskiyou National Forest are home to Curry County's Redwoods. These giants have canopies that host their own ecosystems and they have a rich life history thousands of years old. You can also dip into Northern California's Jedediah Smith Redwoods State & National Park for more exploring -- only 30 minutes from Brookings.
✔️ Azalea Park:
Home of the annual Azalea Festival every Spring, you'll find 33 acres of sprawling park with ancient native azaleas that were growing here when Lewis and Clark wintered on the Oregon Coast in 1805. The park hosts many outdoor events and concerts, including Big Bad Voodoo Daddy who will be performing on Sept 21, 2025 from 3-5pm.
