Construction is underway at the Stark Street Bridge in Troutdale on Jan. 14, 2025. Oregon lawmakers have proposed a plan to close the Oregon Department of Transportation's $289 million budget gap, which would, in part, redirect funding for some bridge upgrades toward road maintenance.

After several weeks of private discussions, Oregon lawmakers have unveiled their plan to close a $289 million budget gap through next year at the state transportation agency.
