Description
An extreme heat watch was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 3 a.m. valid from Sunday noon until Monday 11 p.m. for Lower Columbia River, Tualatin Valley, West Hills and Chehalem Mountains, Inner Portland Metro, East Portland Metro, Outer Southeast Portland Metro, West Central Willamette Valley, East Central Willamette Valley, Benton County Lowlands, Linn County Lowlands, Lane County Lowlands, West Columbia River Gorge I-84 Corridor, Upper Hood River Valley and Central Columbia River Gorge I-84 Corridor.
The weather service describes, "Dangerously hot conditions with afternoon high temperatures of 90 to 105 degrees and mild overnight low temperatures of 60 to 70 degrees possible."
