The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning at 5:08 p.m. on Friday in effect until 6:30 p.m. for Grant, Morrow and Umatilla counties.
"At 5:08 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Battle Mountain Complex burn scar. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," comments the weather service. "Flooding of areas in and around the Battle Mountain Complex Burn Scar."
