We also have groups and organizations on top of that that volunteer and help do many things throughout the city. Again, without their help and assistance, we wouldn't be able to have the city and be proud of what we have. So, I am honored and proud to have the volunteers that we have, so I wanted to thank you personally.” From advisory boards and local programs to emergency services and community initiatives, volunteers play an essential role in maintaining the quality of life in Coos Bay. Their dedication continues to strengthen the fabric of the community and inspire others to get involved. Residents are encouraged to celebrate both observances by planting trees, supporting local environmental efforts, and finding ways to volunteer in honor of this milestone year for the nation.
