Oregon State has its second offseason opening on its football coaching staff as tight ends coach Jon Boyer is headed to Michigan State.

A source confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive that Boyer is leaving OSU to become quarterbacks coach at Michigan State for former Beavers coach Jonathan Smith. Boyer was an offensive quality control assistant for six years under Smith at Oregon State.
