The state bar argued that the federal Justice Department doesn’t have authority to interfere with or suspend state bar disciplinary proceedings.

The Oregon State Bar’s board of governors this week slammed a proposed federal rule that would stall state bar investigations into complaints of misconduct against U.S. Department of Justice lawyers.
