“St. Denis Medical,” a new comedy series that premieres Tuesday, Nov. 12, on NBC, is the latest show to use a mockumentary format, the concept that gained widespread popularity with the original British version of “The Office,” and the later U.S. version, which ran for nine seasons, and is still popular among Dunder Mifflin fans who watch reruns on Peacock or Comedy Central.
