Description

Students at Cherry Park Elementary in the David Douglas School District, one of the districts in the metro area that posted a statistically significant increase in enrollment this school year. Across the state, enrollment is still trending down, particularly in early elementary school, but the steep drops seen during the pandemic have leveled out.

Oregon public schools are educating about 2,300 fewer students now than in the 2023-24 school year, according to newly released data from the Oregon Department of Education.
