Oregon Parks and Recreation (OPRD) is proposing to change its fee structure for parking, campsites, etc. This will affect everybody who visits or camps at Oregon State Parks.

You have an opportunity to comment on the proposed fee structure either by submitting comments or by attending and commenting at an online public hearing on December 15th at 5:30 pm.

Without the proposed fee changes, OPRD is facing a multi-million-dollar budget shortfall due to rising costs, increased visitation, and a decrease in Oregon Lottery funds for operations. If the agency is going to keep our state parks in top condition, visitors will have to bear more of the cost. And some of the changes may be good for equestrians.
