Description

At Mountain View Middle School, when a teacher grants the digital pass, all teachers can monitor the frequency and length of time that students are out of class, according to the district. Students get between 4 and 10 minutes to leave the classroom, depending on the destination. 

A Beaverton parent has sued the school district over its digital hall passes, arguing they’re being used for much more than tracking a student’s hall activity or bathroom breaks.
