Description

The Oregon nonprofits suing GoFundMe Inc. are seeking damages for alleged false association and unjust enrichment. They allege GoFundMe “unilaterally established” donation pages for organizations that never agreed to allow the company to retain tips or donation fees for itself.

Six Oregon nonprofit organizations, including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, argued in federal court in Eugene on Tuesday that GoFundMe Inc. created fundraising pages using their names, logos and identities to collect donations and fees without their authorization, misleading donors.
