The Oregon National Guard and U.S. Navy broke ground Sept. 9, 2026, on a $12 million Multi-Purpose Machine Gun Range at the Naval Weapons Systems Training Facility in Boardman, Oregon, culminating a project more than two decades in the making. Once complete, the range will be the first and only Army Standard crew-served weapons range in Oregon, allowing Oregon National Guard soldiers to qualify on crew-served weapons in-state rather than traveling out of state for training.
